West Lake causeways
The Su Causeway and the Bai Causeway run across the lake as fine, tree-lined lines, dividing the water into smaller basins and giving the lake its distinctive segmented shape.

Te mapa
Hangzhou’s map begins with West Lake. The city spreads along its eastern shore, while wooded hills rise around the other three sides, creating an unusual balance of dense streets and open landscape. Two causeways, the Su and the Bai, run across the water as thin lines, dividing the lake into sections, and small islands sit near its middle.
To the south, the Qiantang River curves broadly on its way to Hangzhou Bay, and it is known for one of the strongest tidal bores in the world. The northern districts are crossed by the Grand Canal, which reaches its southern end here. Along the river, Qianjiang New City on the north bank and Binjiang on the south bring a more regular, modern grid.
The West Lake Cultural Landscape was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2011, and the Grand Canal followed in 2014. Hangzhou also hosted the Asian Games in 2023. A Hangzhou map poster shows a city that has kept a large lake and its surrounding hills at the centre of its plan.
The Su Causeway and the Bai Causeway run across the lake as fine, tree-lined lines, dividing the water into smaller basins and giving the lake its distinctive segmented shape.
A wide river sweeping around the south and east of the city toward Hangzhou Bay, crossed by several long bridges and known for its powerful tidal bore.
The southern end of the historic canal enters Hangzhou from the north, a narrow waterway winding through older districts and lined with preserved bridges and waterfront streets.

Koteā ko Hangzhou
Hangzhou suits people who love a city that has made room for landscape. It is a natural choice for alumni of Zhejiang University, families from the city and anyone who has walked the causeways early in the morning. The lake gives the poster a calm centre.
Title it Hangzhou or West Lake, add a subtitle with a date or a short message and adjust the coordinates line. The poster comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as instant HD files or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
