Te mapa
Zhuji lies in the hilly interior of Zhejiang, south of Hangzhou, in the valley of the Puyang River. From above the city stretches along the river. An older centre sits close to the water, while wide new avenues and residential districts spread across the flatter land. Wooded ridges rise on both sides, giving the urban area a long, valley-shaped outline.
Zhuji is traditionally regarded as the hometown of Xi Shi, one of the celebrated beauties of ancient China, and sites along the river commemorate her story. The city is also known for manufacturing. Freshwater pearls are farmed and traded here in very large quantities, and Datang, a town within Zhuji, is famous for making socks.
A Zhuji map poster shows the Puyang River as a strong curving line through the middle, with bridges linking its banks and rings of newer development around the historic core. At the edges, reservoirs, hills and valley villages give the composition a lighter outer frame.
The river flows north through the city and forms its main axis. Parks and promenades along both banks appear as long green bands beside the water.
Sites associated with Xi Shi stand close to the river, and their temple grounds and gardens form a quieter patch among the surrounding city streets.
Wooded high ground and reservoirs surround the valley, so the edges of the map shift from city blocks to winding roads and scattered villages.

Koteā ko Zhuji
Zhuji's story links legend with industry, and many people who grew up or built businesses here feel attached to its river and hills. A map poster is a restrained way to show that connection at home or in an office.
You can customise the title and subtitle with a name or a date and set the coordinates line. There are five styles, including the warm Paper and Sand tones. Download 300 DPI PNG and PDF files for $9, or order a matte print, framed or unframed.
