Te mapa
Seen from above, Hāveri is a modest town arranged around its transport lines. The highway linking Pune and Bengaluru passes close by, and the railway runs alongside, so the town's streets gather in a loose cluster between these two long strokes. Beyond the built area, the map quickly gives way to field boundaries and scattered village roads across the Deccan plateau.
The centre is dense and irregular, with narrow lanes that bend rather than follow a grid. Newer residential blocks spread outward in more regular patterns, especially near the main roads. As the administrative headquarters of its district, the town holds government offices and markets, but on paper it keeps the scale of a place that can be crossed on foot.
A Hāveri map poster captures that balance between a small urban core and the wide agricultural land around it. The district is known well beyond Karnataka for Byadgi chillies, and the town has an old Chalukya-era temple, the Siddheshwara. On a black-and-white print these stories stay quiet, leaving the lines of streets, tracks and field edges to speak.
Two long parallel corridors, the national highway and the rail line, cross the frame and give the whole composition a clear directional axis.
The oldest part of town is a tight weave of short, bending lanes that contrasts clearly with the straighter layouts of later neighbourhoods.
At the edge of the map the streets thin out into farm tracks and village roads, a pattern typical of the Deccan countryside.
