Te mapa
Hubballi lies on the flat land of northern Karnataka, and its map is organised by the railway. Tracks cut through the city, dividing older market quarters from newer residential areas, and the main station sits at the centre of the network. Hubballi is the headquarters of the South Western Railway zone, and its station has one of the longest railway platforms in the world.
The city forms a twin municipality with Dharwad to the northwest, and the corridor between them is lined with roads and development. Unkal Lake, on the northern edge, forms a large open shape on the map. The older centre is dense, with narrow lanes around markets and temples, including the well-known Siddharoodha Math.
A Hubballi map poster shows a city defined by movement, trade and junctions. Rail lines and main roads radiate from the centre, while the lake and open land frame the edges. It is the portrait of a working city, rendered in clear, simple lines.
Several lines converge at the main station, and the long curves of track divide the map into distinct districts, making the rail network the city's clearest structural element.
A large lake on the northern side of the city, drawn as a broad open shape with a park along its bank and roads curving around the shoreline.
A main road links Hubballi with Dharwad, and development along it forms a continuous band stretching northwest across the map between the two centres.
