Hiddenhausen is a municipality in the Herford district of North Rhine-Westphalia. It lies in the gently rolling Ravensberg hill country between the towns of Herford and Bünde. It has no single dense core. Seen from above, it is a loose constellation of settlements: residential streets clustered around old village centres, separated by fields, hedgerows and small woods, and connected by winding rural roads.
The municipality took its present form in the late 1960s, when several neighbouring villages were merged under one name. That history shows clearly on the map.
