Te mapa
Hjørring is the main town of Vendsyssel, the northernmost part of Jutland. It lies a short distance inland from the North Sea coast, and roads radiate from the town towards the beaches and villages around it. From above, the centre is a compact cluster of streets around the old market and pedestrian street, with residential districts spreading outward in every direction.
Hjørring is one of Denmark's older market towns, and it is known for having three medieval churches close together in its historic centre. The oldest streets still follow irregular lines around them, and they contrast with the more regular planned neighbourhoods that surround the core. The Vendsyssel Art Museum and several parks sit within easy walking distance of the centre.
A Hjørring map poster shows a classic Danish provincial town: a dense old heart, a ring of later growth and main roads reaching outward like spokes. Depending on the frame, the edge of the coastal landscape can appear too. The balance between the tight centre and open countryside gives the print a clear, legible structure.
Three medieval churches stand close together in the old centre, surrounded by short, irregular streets that set this area apart from the rest of the town.
Routes lead out from the centre towards the coast, neighbouring towns and the countryside, forming a clear star-shaped pattern on the map.
The shopping streets form a compact spine through the historic core, the densest and busiest part of the town plan.

Koteā ko Hjørring
Hjørring is often the town people grew up near before moving to Aarhus or Copenhagen, and its streets hold memories of school and summers by the North Sea. A map poster keeps that northern corner of Denmark close.
