Hunsūr Map Poster & Print

Hunsūr lies in Mysuru district in southern Karnataka, on the Lakshmana Tirtha river, which rises in the hills of Kodagu. The town sits on the main road between Mysuru and the Kodagu region, and Nagarhole National Park is not far to the west, so it is a familiar stop for people heading into the hills.

From above, the river is the strongest natural line, crossing the edge of the town, with the highway forming the main axis through the centre. Around the commercial core, residential streets spread out in a fairly regular pattern, then give way to farmland, the surrounding area being known for tobacco growing.

A Hunsūr map poster shows a working town at the meeting of plains and hills. The river, the highway and the modest street network make an understated and balanced composition, well suited to Paper or Classic styles.

Lakshmana Tirtha

The river flows past the town from the Kodagu hills. Its winding course and bridge crossing stand out against the streets.

02

Highway axis

The road from Mysuru toward Kodagu runs through the town centre, forming the clearest straight line and the spine of the commercial area.

03

Farmland edges

Beyond the town, streets thin into fields and village roads, framing Hunsūr in the agricultural landscape of the southern Karnataka plateau.
