Te mapa
H̱ura is a Bedouin town in Israel's Southern District, in the northern Negev not far from Beersheba. It was established as a planned locality in the late twentieth century, and its layout shows that origin. From above, it appears as a group of separate neighbourhoods rather than a single dense centre.
Each neighbourhood has its own set of streets, often curving to fit the gentle rise and fall of the land, with open ground between them. Main roads link the clusters to one another and to the regional highways. Around the town, the dry, open landscape of the Negev stretches out with few lines to interrupt it.
An H̱ura map poster captures that clustered form, a pattern quite unlike old towns that grew around a single core. On the page, the neighbourhoods read as distinct shapes held together by a few connecting roads. It is a personal map for people from H̱ura and a clear portrait of how the town is organised.
The town is organised as separate residential clusters. They give the poster a distinctive, cellular pattern with open space in between.
Within each neighbourhood, streets bend and loop to follow the terrain. The lines are soft and flowing rather than rigidly gridded.
Open desert surrounds the town on every side. The generous negative space makes the built-up clusters stand out sharply.

Koteā ko H̱ura
For families from H̱ura, a map of its neighbourhoods is a way to keep home in view, whether they live in town, in Beersheba or farther afield. The strong cluster pattern also makes it a graphic, modern wall piece.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in English or with a family name, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as HD digital files for $9 or as a printed poster.
