Te mapa
Ikeja is the capital of Lagos State, set on the mainland well north of the lagoon and the older island districts. On the map, the most striking feature is the airport: the runways of Murtala Muhammed International Airport form long straight lines on the northwestern side, a clean geometric block against the dense street network around it.
Ikeja mixes planned and organic patterns. The Government Reserved Area has broader, leafier streets, while the commercial areas around Allen Avenue and Obafemi Awolowo Way are tightly packed. Computer Village, around Otigba Street, is one of the largest markets for phones and electronics in West Africa, and the secretariat at Alausa houses the Lagos State government.
An Ikeja map poster captures a district built on movement, with expressways, rail lines and main roads threading through it toward the rest of Lagos. In black and white, the contrast between runway geometry and the fine grain of residential streets gives the design a strong, structured look and a clear sense of scale.
The long runways of Murtala Muhammed International Airport form straight, open lines on the northwestern side, one of the boldest shapes on the whole map.
Around Otigba Street, a dense cluster of small blocks marks Computer Village, the large electronics market that draws traders from across Nigeria and beyond.
Ikeja GRA shows wider streets and larger plots than surrounding neighbourhoods, a planned pattern that reads clearly against the tighter commercial grid nearby.

Koteā ko Ikeja
Ikeja is where many Lagos stories start: a first job, a first flat, a first arrival at the airport. A clean map of its streets is a thoughtful gift for someone who grew up there or who has since moved abroad.
