Te mapa
Innisfil lies on the western shore of Lake Simcoe, south of Barrie and Kempenfelt Bay. On the map, the town is defined by two patterns: the long, irregular shoreline with its cottage streets and small points, and the grid of concession roads and sideroads that divide the farmland inland. Several villages and hamlets are scattered across this grid.
The concession system, laid out in the nineteenth century, gives much of rural Ontario its regular pattern of roads, and Innisfil shows it clearly. In recent years the town gained attention for an unusual transit partnership, using ride-hailing instead of a conventional bus service. Along the lake, the Friday Harbour development has added a new marina and resort.
An Innisfil map poster captures the contrast between water and grid. The curving lake edge and the dense streets near the shore sit beside the straight rural roads that stretch across the rest of the frame. It is a clean, open map, suited to anyone who knows the lake.
The eastern edge of the map follows the long shoreline of Lake Simcoe, lined with cottage streets, small beaches and points reaching into the water.
Inland, straight concession roads and sideroads divide the land into large rectangles, a pattern typical of rural Ontario and very clear on the map.
Rather than one centre, Innisfil is a collection of villages and hamlets such as Alcona and Cookstown, each appearing as a small cluster within the grid.

Koteā ko Innisfil
Innisfil is cottage country for many families from Toronto and a year-round home for others. A map of its shoreline and roads brings back summers on the lake and suits a cottage wall as well as a city apartment.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the name of a cottage road or a summer year, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Order $9 HD files or a printed poster shipped from a Canadian partner.
