Te mapa
Whitby lies on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Durham Region, east of Toronto. The municipality is long and narrow, running north from the lake: a harbour and waterfront at the southern end, the historic downtown at the crossing of Brock and Dundas streets, suburbs beyond, and then farmland reaching toward the village of Brooklin and further north.
Highway 401 runs parallel to the shore, Highway 407 crosses further north, and Highway 412 links the two. Between them, suburban streets curve into crescents and cul-de-sacs, a clear contrast to the older grid near downtown. Port Whitby, with its marina and small harbour, gives the southern edge a detailed, irregular finish.
A Whitby map poster can be framed tightly on downtown and the harbour, or opened out to show how the town moves from lakefront to countryside. Either way, the map describes a place built in layers: nineteenth-century main streets, postwar suburbs, and the newest subdivisions pushing steadily north.
The shoreline runs along the bottom of the map, with Port Whitby's harbour and marina forming a small, intricate break in the long lakefront.
Brock and Dundas streets meet at the historic centre, where a compact grid of older blocks stands apart from the curving suburbs around it.
Highway 401 near the lake and Highway 407 further north cross the municipality east to west, strong straight lines framing the neighbourhoods between them.

Koteā ko Whitby
Whitby draws families from across the Toronto area, and many residents remember a first house or a first walk down to the harbour. A map of the town suits a front hall or a child's room, and it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a street name, a family name or a moving-in date, and keep the coordinates as a detail. Five styles are offered, and the digital files include 18×24″ and 24×36″ alongside the metric sizes, all as 300 DPI PNG and PDF.
