Te mapa
Iseyin lies in the northern part of Oyo State in south-western Nigeria, where forest gradually turns into open savannah. The town's plan grows outward from an old centre, with main roads leading toward nearby towns. Between them, compounds and smaller streets fill the space in an irregular, organic pattern.
The town is well known for aso-oke, the handwoven cloth worn by Yoruba people at weddings, naming ceremonies and other important occasions. Weaving is a long-standing craft here, and much of it happens in homes and family compounds.
An Iseyin map poster shows a dense core of streets and compounds that loosens toward the edges, where the built-up area meets farmland and savannah. The roads leading out of the town give the plan a clear star-like shape, easy to read at poster scale.
The oldest part of the town has the densest streets and compounds. It is the natural centre of the map, where the main roads come together.
Main roads run outward toward neighbouring towns across the region. They give the town a clear, recognisable shape, with smaller streets filling the spaces between them.
At the edges, the built-up area gives way to farmland and open land. The poster shows the town as a compact settlement surrounded by country.
