Te mapa
Iyesi is in Ogun State in southwest Nigeria, close to Ota and within the wider orbit of Lagos. From above, it is a spreading pattern of streets and compounds, with denser blocks along the main roads and looser, newer layouts filling the land between patches of green. The ground is gently rolling, and the vegetation between settlements is still visible.
The area around Ota has grown quickly as Lagos pushes outward, bringing homes, businesses and schools to towns that were once more rural. Iyesi shows that growth on the map: estates laid out on straighter lines, older streets following earlier paths and roads connecting to larger routes toward the city and toward Abeokuta.
An Iyesi map poster shows a place in transition, with dense cores, new streets in the process of filling in and green space in between. The black and white design keeps the pattern clear and makes even unnamed lanes part of the composition. It is a map for people who know the town personally.
The busiest streets follow the main routes through town, with the densest buildings along them. On the poster they form the strongest lines in the plan.
Newer residential areas use straighter streets and regular plots. They sit beside older, more irregular areas, showing clearly how the town has expanded.
Patches of undeveloped land remain between neighbourhoods. On the map they appear as open spaces that give the composition room to breathe.
