Te mapa
Kaiama is the headquarters of Kaiama Local Government Area in the north of Kwara State, in the savanna country known historically as Borgu. It is also the seat of a traditional emirate. On a map the town appears as a loose cluster of compounds and streets gathered around a centre, with roads leaving in several directions toward neighbouring towns and villages.
Its streets are less regular than in a planned grid. Paths and lanes curve between compounds and open spaces, forming a pattern that reflects gradual growth. Around the built area the land opens into farmland and woodland savanna, crossed by tracks and seasonal streams. This makes a Kaiama map poster airy and uncluttered, with the town as a clear focal point.
The Benin border lies to the west, and the wide landscapes of Kainji Lake National Park extend to the north, giving the area a sense of space that few urban maps convey. Roads here are few and long, so each one reads distinctly on the poster, linking the town to a much larger region beyond the frame.
Streets and compounds converge around the core of the town, forming a dense node that the surrounding roads all seem to lead back to.
Several routes leave Kaiama toward other settlements in the region, drawing long, clean strokes across the open savanna.
Beyond the last compounds the map becomes sparse, with farm tracks and seasonal watercourses marking a quiet landscape that frames the town.

Koteā ko Kaiama
A map of Kaiama carries meaning for people from the town and its emirate, including those now living in Ilorin, Lagos or abroad. Its open composition feels calm on a wall, and it presents a northern Kwara town with the same care as any major city.
