Te mapa
Kamikoizumi lies in the south-east of Gunma Prefecture, on the level ground of the northern Kanto Plain, in the area around the town of Ōizumi. The Tone River, which marks much of the boundary with Saitama, flows a short distance to the south. From above, the district is a dense mix of houses, workshops and farmland stitched together by narrow roads.
The wider Ōizumi area is known for its large manufacturing plants and for one of Japan's best-known Brazilian communities, which grew around factory work from the 1990s. On the map, that industrial character appears as large rectangular footprints set among small residential blocks, with fields and irrigation channels filling the gaps and a local railway line linking it to neighbouring towns.
A Kamikoizumi map poster captures a very typical Japanese landscape that is rarely seen framed: the fine, irregular lanes of a plain town, the bold shapes of industry and the geometric patches of fields. It is dense in detail and rewards large print sizes, where every small road stays sharp.
Narrow, slightly irregular roads wind between houses and fields, a close-grained pattern that fills the poster with fine linework from edge to edge.
Large factory buildings and their grounds appear as bold rectangles among the small residential blocks, giving the map a strong graphic structure.
To the south, the wide Tone River and its floodplain form a broad natural edge between Gunma and Saitama prefectures.

Koteā ko Kamikoizumi
Many people have lived, worked and raised families here, including those who came from Brazil and made the area home. A map of Kamikoizumi is a personal marker of that chapter, whether it hangs in Gunma, São Paulo or anywhere else.
