Te mapa
Karumattampatti lies in western Tamil Nadu, east of Coimbatore on the main road toward Avinashi and Tiruppur. On a map the highway is the clear backbone. The older town is grouped around it, and newer residential layouts fill in the surrounding farmland in irregular blocks. The pattern is typical of the Kongu region, where towns grow along roads rather than around a single fixed centre.
The wider area is one of India's most active textile belts, with spinning, weaving and garment work spread across the small towns between Coimbatore and Tiruppur. Karumattampatti belongs to that economic landscape, and its road network reflects it: routes branch toward nearby villages and workplaces, and the town keeps expanding outward as its population grows.
A Karumattampatti map poster turns this everyday geography into something considered. The long line of the highway, the dense core and the looser streets at the edges create a map that feels in motion. It records a town still taking shape, rather than one fixed by walls or a historic plan.
The main road between Coimbatore and Tiruppur cuts across the map as a single confident line, and most of the town's streets connect back to it.
Near the highway the street pattern tightens into small, closely packed blocks. This is the densest part of the poster and the natural focal point of the composition.
Toward the margins, newer residential plots and field roads loosen the pattern, showing clearly where the town meets the agricultural land around it.
