Te mapa
Kaspiysk lies on the western shore of the Caspian Sea in Dagestan, immediately south-east of Makhachkala. It was founded in the 1930s as a settlement for a torpedo plant, and the map still shows a planned town. Straight avenues run parallel to the coast, cross streets lead down to the water, and residential blocks are laid out in orderly rows.
The coastline is long and nearly straight, with a sandy beach and a harbour. Kaspiysk is the main base of Russia's Caspian Flotilla, so naval and industrial areas occupy part of the shore. Inland, the land rises gently toward the foothills of the Caucasus, which can be seen on a clear day.
A Kaspiysk map poster is built on a single strong line: the Caspian shore, with the town's grid pressed against it. It suits people who grew up by this sea, families connected with the shipyards and plant, and anyone who likes coastal cities with a clear, rational plan.
The long, straight coast runs the full length of the town. The sea fills one side of the print as a single calm plane.
Streets follow a regular Soviet-era plan, with avenues parallel to the shore and cross streets running down toward the water.
Port and naval areas break the shoreline with piers and basins, the most angular features along the coast.

Koteā ko Kaspiysk
For people from Kaspiysk, the sea is at the end of every street. A map that shows the grid meeting the Caspian captures that everyday view, and it makes a thoughtful gift for family who have moved away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, including a Russian-language title or a meaningful date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the coastline and harbour.
