Te mapa
Katsina-Ala takes its name from the river beside it, and from above the water is what everything else answers to. The Katsina-Ala River bends past the town on its way south towards the Benue, and the settlement's roads gather towards the crossing before they spread into the surrounding countryside of Benue State.
The street pattern is loose and practical rather than planned. A few main roads carry most of the traffic, and a finer web of lanes fills the spaces between them, thinning out as it reaches the edge of town. Past that edge the map turns quiet, with scattered tracks linking farms and villages across the flat, green land of the middle belt.
A Katsina-Ala map poster keeps this simple arrangement: one strong river line, a cluster of streets gathered near it, and plenty of open space around. In black and white the river becomes the main line of the drawing, with the town sitting beside it and the roads fanning out.
The Katsina-Ala River curves past the town in a wide, unhurried line. On the poster it is the strongest shape, and it anchors the whole composition.
The main routes converge where the river can be crossed, giving the town a clear centre of gravity that is easy to read even at small print sizes.
Beyond the built-up area the map opens into sparse tracks and fields, a quiet margin that frames the town and gives the design room to breathe.
