Te mapa
Katsuta was once a city of its own in Ibaraki Prefecture. In 1994 it merged with the coastal town of Nakaminato to form Hitachinaka, and it now makes up the inland part of that city. From above, it is a mix of rail-side commercial streets, residential neighbourhoods and farmland on the flat Kanto plain.
The Naka River runs to the south, separating the area from the prefectural capital, Mito. To the east, the land slopes gently towards the Pacific coast. Hitachi Seaside Park, famous for its seasonal fields of flowers, lies near the shore in the same city.
A Katsuta map poster shows a typical Japanese suburban pattern. It combines dense clusters around the station, winding residential lanes and long, straight roads crossing open land. In black and white, the intricate street pattern contrasts clearly with the calm spaces of the fields.
The area around Katsuta Station has the densest grid of shops and small streets, forming the natural centre of the map.
The river runs along the southern side of the area. Its wide, curving course marks a clear boundary between Katsuta and Mito on the poster.
Away from the station, narrow, irregular streets and housing estates spread across the plain, giving the map a detailed and varied texture.

Koteā ko Katsuta
Many people still say Katsuta when they mean home, even though the name has changed on official maps. A poster keeps that familiar place and its streets on the wall.
Add your own title and subtitle, such as Katsuta or a family name and a year, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
