Te mapa
Khuraybat as Sūq lies in Amman Governorate, on the southern side of the Jordanian capital's wider urban area. It sits on the high plateau that surrounds the city, and there are no rivers or coastline here. Its map is shaped by roads, terrain and the steady spread of housing. The streets form a loose mesh of neighbourhoods separated by patches of undeveloped land.
Most of the street pattern follows the ground. Some roads run straight along the easier stretches, while others curve around low hills and dips in the plateau. Blocks of detached houses and small apartment buildings fill in between them, but the gaps are still visible, where open ground or farmland has not yet been built on. A Khuraybat as Sūq map poster records this edge-of-the-city moment with clean, graphic lines.
The area's growth is tied to Amman, whose population has expanded outward over the surrounding hills for decades. Towns that once stood separately have gradually merged into the metropolitan fabric. On paper you can see this in the arterial roads that link Khuraybat as Sūq to the capital, running north towards the dense centre while the southern edges stay more open.
The land is upland plateau with gentle relief. Streets bend around low rises and hollows, which gives the map a soft, irregular rhythm instead of a strict grid.
Residential streets spread across the area in clusters. Where development is still filling in, the poster shows a mix of dense linework and open, blank ground.
Arterial roads lead north into the capital. They are the strongest lines on the map and show how closely the community is tied to the wider metropolitan area.

For families who live on Amman's southern side, or who have moved away from it, this map shows the neighbourhood as it really is: calm and specific, drawn from its own streets rather than from the capital's better-known skyline.
