Te mapa
Korydallós lies in the western part of the Athens basin, on the lower slopes that rise from Piraeus toward Mount Aigaleo. On the map it is almost entirely built up. A close grid of short residential streets and apartment blocks fills the municipality. Main roads frame it and link it to Piraeus, Nikaia and central Athens.
The name is known across Greece because of Korydallos Prison, the country's largest, which stands in the municipality. Most of the area, though, is quiet residential streets, local squares and small parks, with the green slopes of the hills to the north. The port of Piraeus and the sea are just a short distance to the south.
A Korydallós map poster shows the texture of an Athenian suburb up close. It is dense and orderly, the blocks are tight, and there are almost no gaps. The hillside edge gives it a natural boundary, and in a minimalist print the fine pattern of the street grid looks surprisingly delicate.
Short streets and apartment blocks fill almost the whole municipality. The result is a fine, uniform grid that is typical of the western suburbs of Athens.
To the north, the ground rises toward the slopes of Aigaleo. The built-up area thins there and gives way to open, wooded land.
The municipality sits just inland from Piraeus. Main roads run downhill toward the port, which lies a short distance south of the frame.

Koteā ko Korydallós
Korydallós is home to many families who have lived in western Athens for generations. A map of the neighbourhood is a personal alternative to the usual images of the Acropolis. It suits a new flat, a move abroad or a family gift.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example to mark a square or a street. The poster comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Classic and Noir show off the dense grid best.
