Te mapa
La Libertad lies on the Santa Elena peninsula, the westernmost stretch of Ecuador's mainland coast. The town sits between Salinas to the west and Santa Elena to the east, and together the three form a continuous urban strip along the Pacific. On the map, a curved bay shapes La Libertad's shoreline, while its streets spread inland across dry, low ground.
The town is closely tied to oil: petroleum was found on the peninsula in the early twentieth century, and La Libertad is home to a refinery that remains one of its best-known landmarks. The port area, fishing boats and a busy commercial centre line the waterfront, making the town an economic hub for the peninsula.
Beyond the coast the landscape becomes arid, with scrubland and scattered hills, so the dense street grid stands out clearly against open ground. A La Libertad map poster shows the bay, the grid and the connections to its neighbours, a clear portrait of an unusual stretch of Ecuador's Pacific shore.
The shoreline curves around a sheltered bay where fishing boats anchor, forming a smooth edge that frames the whole composition.
La Libertad, Salinas and Santa Elena merge into one built-up strip, and the map shows how closely their street networks connect.
The oil refinery near the coast forms a large, regular block among the streets, a reminder of the industry that shaped the town.

Koteā ko La Libertad
For people from the peninsula, and for the many visitors who spend holidays on this coast, a map of La Libertad is a calm reminder of sea air, the waterfront and familiar streets. It works well in both homes and small businesses.
You can edit the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or a year, and change the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
