Te mapa
Lago Sul is one of the administrative regions of Brazil's Federal District, occupying the southern shore of Lake Paranoá opposite Brasília's Plano Piloto. Its map is defined by water: a long shoreline of inlets and peninsulas, with residential quarters arranged in branching streets and cul-de-sacs that reach down toward the lake.
The lake itself is artificial, created when Brasília was built at the end of the 1950s, and Lago Sul developed as a low-density district of large plots, gardens and private shoreline. The Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge, with its three leaping steel arches, links the area to the city, and Brasília's international airport is located within the district.
A Lago Sul map poster is unusual for a city map because so much of it is water and planned greenery. The branching residential streets, the main road along the shore and the bridges across the lake make an elegant, almost diagrammatic composition, in keeping with Brasília's modernist origins. It reads especially well at the larger sizes.
Inlets and peninsulas give the southern shore a long, intricate outline, and the lake itself occupies a large, calm expanse of the map.
The Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge crosses the lake toward the city centre, its three arches among the most recognisable structures in Brasília.
Residential blocks are arranged as branching streets ending in cul-de-sacs, a planned pattern that creates a distinctive, leaf-like texture from above.

Koteā ko Lago Sul
Lago Sul appeals both to residents and to anyone fascinated by Brasília's planning. Hung on its own or beside a map of the Plano Piloto, the lakeside layout makes a refined architectural print for a study or living room.
Set the title and subtitle, add a date or an address, and fine-tune the coordinates line. Five styles are available, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand; Blueprint in particular suits the district's planned geometry. HD files cost $9, and printed posters can be framed.
