Te mapa
Lajinha lies in the east of Minas Gerais, close to the border with Espírito Santo, in a landscape of steep, rounded hills. From above, the town does not follow a single grid. Its streets follow the valley floors and bend with the contours, so the built area stretches in narrow fingers wherever the land allows.
The name refers to a small rock slab, a nod to the stony terrain of the area. Around the town, farms and small roads climb the slopes, and many hillsides in this part of Minas are given over to agriculture, including coffee. Small streams run through the valleys and join the larger drainage lines of the region.
A Lajinha map poster captures a town shaped by topography rather than planning. The streets wind and branch, and the edges of the town fade into the network of rural roads. In a clean black-and-white rendering, the result feels organic and quietly intricate, a good match for a hallway or reading corner.
Roads follow the low ground between hills, giving the town an elongated, branching outline instead of a regular block pattern.
Narrow roads climb out of town to farms on the surrounding slopes, drawing thin looping lines across the upland of eastern Minas Gerais.
Creeks run along the valley floors through and around Lajinha, often tracing the same paths as the main streets.
