Te mapa
Lidingö is an island municipality just northeast of central Stockholm, separated from the mainland by the narrow strait of Lilla Värtan. On the map it is a broad, irregular island with a deeply indented shoreline cut by bays and small inlets. The interior mixes residential areas, woods, golf courses and open ground, and roads loop around the coast.
Bridges from Ropsten connect the island to Stockholm, carrying road traffic and the Lidingöbanan light rail. The island is home to Millesgården, the former home and sculpture garden of Carl Milles, set on terraces above the water. Every autumn it hosts Lidingöloppet, widely described as the largest cross-country race in the world.
A Lidingö map poster captures a place where city and archipelago meet. Planned neighbourhoods sit near the bridges, looser villa streets wind toward the shore, and large stretches of forest lie in between. Surrounded by water on all sides, the island makes an especially strong graphic shape, and it works well in Blueprint or Noir.
Lidingö's coastline is deeply indented with bays, coves and small headlands, giving the island a detailed, irregular outline against the open water around it.
The Lidingö bridges cross Lilla Värtan from Ropsten, carrying cars and the light rail. On the map they are the island's link to central Stockholm.
Large wooded areas cover much of the interior, crossed by trails used for running and skiing. They appear as calm open space between the residential districts.

Koteā ko Lidingö
People choose Lidingö deliberately, for its closeness to both the city and the water. A map of it is a natural housewarming gift, a reminder of a childhood by the shore, or a keepsake for anyone who has run Lidingöloppet.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps your street, a race year or a family name, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9 in six print sizes, and matte printed posters come with an optional wooden frame.
