Los Dos Caminos lies in the east of the Caracas valley, within the Sucre municipality of Miranda state. Its name, the two roads, recalls an old junction of routes, and the area is still defined by through traffic: Avenida Francisco de Miranda crosses it, and Line 1 of the Caracas Metro has a station bearing its name. North of the neighbourhood the land rises steeply toward El Ávila.
On a map the district is a mixture of dense residential blocks, apartment towers and commercial frontage along the main avenues, with smaller streets climbing toward the mountain in a looser pattern. Next door lies the Parque del Este, one of the largest green spaces in Caracas, designed by Roberto Burle Marx, which forms a broad open shape on the printed map.
A Los Dos Caminos map poster captures the characteristic Caracas setting: a long valley city pinned against mountains, with the neighbourhood's avenues running parallel to the slope. The protected Ávila shows as a wide, largely empty area to the north, making the dense streets below stand out. Noir or Classic black and white give that contrast its full force.
The main east–west avenue runs through the neighbourhood with the metro line beneath it, forming the strongest and most continuous line on the poster.
The large landscaped park beside the district, designed by Roberto Burle Marx, appears as an open expanse of paths, lawns and ponds among the surrounding city blocks.
To the north the streets thin out as the land rises toward El Ávila, the mountain range that separates Caracas from the Caribbean coast.
