Te mapa
Lowestoft stands on the Suffolk coast at the most easterly point of the United Kingdom, marked by Ness Point on its northern shore. From above, the town is divided in two by a channel of water: the harbour entrance leads inland into Lake Lothing, which continues west to Oulton Broad and the network of rivers and lakes that make up the Broads.
North of the water lies the older town, set on a low cliff, with the High Street running along its top and narrow lanes called scores dropping steeply towards the shore. South of the harbour, the Victorian resort area spreads out behind a long sandy beach and promenade, with streets laid out in a more regular pattern.
For centuries Lowestoft was a major fishing port, especially for herring, and the harbour, quays and industrial land around Lake Lothing still dominate the middle of the map, with bridges carrying the roads across the water. A Lowestoft map poster brings out this distinctive structure, a town facing the sea on one side and the Broads on the other.
A long body of water runs from the harbour mouth to Oulton Broad, splitting the town into north and south halves linked by a few bridges.
In the old town north of the harbour, narrow lanes known as scores run steeply down from the High Street towards the sea, a pattern of fine lines on the map.
On the northern shore, Ness Point marks the most easterly spot in the United Kingdom, where the coastline juts out into the North Sea.

Koteā ko Lowestoft
Lowestoft has a strong pull for people who grew up by its beaches and harbour or spent summers on the Broads. A poster lets you mark that connection with a title of your choice, a date such as a wedding or move, and the coordinates.
The sea and the Broads look especially clear in Blueprint and Noir, while Classic black & white, Paper and Sand suit a quieter room. Get the $9 digital files in six sizes, or have a matte print delivered, with a wooden frame if you prefer.
