Te mapa
Luís Correia is on the coast of Piauí, a state with one of the shortest coastlines in Brazil. The town sits near the mouth of the Igaraçu river, close to Parnaíba, and water is the first thing you see on its map. The river curves out to the Atlantic, beaches run along the shore, and sand dunes and coastal vegetation fill the gaps between the built areas.
The town is spread out along the coast instead of piling up around one centre. There is an older core by the river, and newer blocks stretch along the beachfront roads. Between them lie open sandy ground and lagoons. Atalaia beach is among the best known on this coast. Further west, the channels and islands of the Parnaíba Delta begin, one of the region's best-known natural landscapes.
A Luís Correia map poster follows the coastline: a long, gently curving edge of sea, the river channel cutting through, and streets placed where the sand allows. It is a light, open composition with a lot of water and space, and it will feel familiar to anyone who has spent summers on this northern stretch of the Brazilian coast.
The Igaraçu river reaches the Atlantic near the town. Its curving channel and banks form the strongest natural line on the map and separate one part of the town from another.
Roads and blocks run parallel to the shore, following the beaches. Seen from above, they look like a long, thin band of streets between the sand and the land behind it.
Open sandy ground, dunes and small lagoons break up the built area. They leave soft, irregular empty spaces that make the coastline feel wide and airy.

Koteā ko Luís Correia
People who know this coast often think of it in terms of summers: the beach, the river, the road from Parnaíba. A map of Luís Correia gives those memories a simple outline and suits a bright, calm room.
You can add your own title, a subtitle with a year or a name, and your chosen coordinates. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand and Blueprint both suit a coastal map.
