Te mapa
Mazatlán sits on the Pacific coast of Sinaloa, near the mouth of the Gulf of California. The old city occupies a peninsula, with the open ocean on one side and a sheltered harbour and estuary on the other. From that point, the modern city extends north along the coast in a long, narrow band between the beaches and the lagoons inland.
The seafront malecón, one of the longest in the world, follows the shore from the old town northward. At the southern tip, the lighthouse on Cerro del Crestón is among the highest in the world. The historic centre has a compact grid of colourful streets around the cathedral and the Ángela Peralta theatre. The city's carnival is one of the oldest in Mexico.
A Mazatlán map poster combines several forms in one frame. The continuous curve of the promenade, rocky outcrops at the southern end, the port channels, and three small islands just offshore all create a varied coastline. Inland, the regular blocks of newer neighbourhoods fill the plain, making a quiet background for the drama of the shore.

Three small islands lie just off the northern beaches, adding distinct shapes to the open water on the map.
