Mémót Map Poster & Print

Mémót lies in Tboung Khmum province in eastern Cambodia, close to the border with Vietnam. The land here is a low red-earth plateau, and much of it is covered by rubber plantations. On a map, the town is a small cluster where several roads meet among the surrounding estates.

The area is known to archaeologists for its circular earthworks. These are prehistoric settlements enclosed by round embankments, and many have been identified in the landscape around Mémót. They are some of the oldest human imprints in the region, and they give the area a place in Cambodian history well beyond its size.

A Mémót map poster shows the town's roads fanning out across plantation land. The regular rows of planted estates contrast with the looser pattern of village lanes. It is a quiet, rural map with a long past beneath it.

Crossroads town

Several roads meet at the town centre, forming a simple star-shaped junction that anchors the whole composition.

02

Plantation land

Rubber plantations cover much of the surrounding plateau, and their estate roads and field edges create a quiet, repeating geometry around the town.

03

Near the border

The Vietnamese frontier lies a short distance east, and roads toward it run as long lines leaving the edge of the town.
