Te mapa
Moreton sits on the northern edge of the Wirral peninsula, where housing runs almost to the coast. From above it looks like a dense, even spread of twentieth-century streets, crescents and cul-de-sacs, with a clear boundary where the town gives way to open ground and the long straight line of the sea embankment.
Much of the land here is low-lying. Fields, drainage channels and golf courses separate Moreton from its neighbours, and the shoreline towards Leasowe is a wide, open stretch. Leasowe Lighthouse, built in 1763 and often described as the oldest brick lighthouse in Britain, stands on that flat ground between the houses and the sea.
A Moreton map poster shows a place made mostly of residential streets, and in black and white their repeated curves and loops form a quiet, regular texture. Against them, the coast and the open land to the north stay mostly empty on the page, and that empty space gives the design its shape.
A long, straight sea embankment marks the northern edge, drawing a firm horizontal line between the last rows of houses and the open water of Liverpool Bay.
The eighteenth-century lighthouse stands on open coastal land west of the town, a single point surrounded by grass and paths rather than streets.
Curving roads, closes and small loops of housing fill the centre of the map, giving the town an even, finely woven pattern.

Koteā ko Moreton
Moreton suits people who grew up on the Wirral, walked the sea wall or still think of the lighthouse as a landmark on the way home. The map keeps the ordinary streets and the flat coast in the same frame, and that shape is easy to recognise.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a family name or the year you moved, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
