Te mapa
Mūlki is a town in Dakshina Kannada district, on the coast of Karnataka, north of Mangaluru. It lies near the estuary where the Shambhavi river joins the Arabian Sea. The river flows parallel to the coast for some distance before reaching the sea, and a long sand spit separates it from the open water. The estuary has become known for surfing and kayaking.
On a map, water shapes almost everything. The river channels, backwaters and sandbars form wide, curving shapes, and the coastline runs as a long, straight line to the west. The town's streets sit on the higher ground inland. National Highway 66 runs north–south through the area along the coast, and smaller roads branch toward the villages and the shore.
A Mūlki map poster is a good choice for families from coastal Karnataka, and for visitors who remember the calm river mouth and the beach. The contrast between water and land is especially clear in black and white.

A long, narrow strip of sand separates the river from the Arabian Sea, drawing two parallel lines of water along the coast.
National Highway 66 runs along the coast through the area. It is a strong, continuous line connecting Mūlki with Mangaluru and Udupi.
