Te mapa
Muntinlupa is the southernmost city of Metro Manila, and its map is framed by water on one side and highways on the other. Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the Philippines, forms the eastern edge, while the South Luzon Expressway runs north to south through the city. Between them lie curving subdivision streets, commercial districts and older barangays packed close to the lakeshore.
The city is known for Alabang, a major business and residential hub with Filinvest City and the planned villages of Ayala Alabang. It is also home to the New Bilibid Prison, the country's main national penitentiary, which occupies a large tract of land. Over the past decades Muntinlupa has grown from a lakeside town into one of the capital region's key southern gateways.
A Muntinlupa map poster emphasises contrasts: looping suburban roads against the straight line of the expressway, dense lakeside neighbourhoods against open reservation land, and the broad expanse of the lake bordering it all. In monochrome these layers form a detailed, engaging composition that reads as city and suburb at once.
The lake runs along the city's eastern side, creating a long shoreline where street patterns end abruptly and a wide open area fills the edge of the poster.
The expressway cuts through Muntinlupa from north to south, a strong, continuous line that separates the lakeside districts from the planned areas to the west.
The subdivisions of Ayala Alabang are laid out with winding roads and cul-de-sacs, giving the map a flowing, organic texture quite different from the older lakeside streets.
