Te mapa
Bacoor lies just south of Metro Manila on the shore of Manila Bay, and its map reads from north to south. First come coastal barangays with fishponds and inlets along Bacoor Bay, then a thick band of older neighbourhoods, then the large subdivisions of the upland area around Molino. Major roads run in long parallel lines toward the south, carrying traffic between the capital and the rest of Cavite.
The coast is the most intricate part of the map. The Manila–Cavite Expressway traces a straight edge along the water, and behind it tidal creeks and pond embankments form a fine mesh of lines. Further inland the pattern changes to curving streets, cul-de-sacs and gated estates. These are the planned shapes of suburban housing built over recent decades as Metro Manila expanded south.
Bacoor has deep roots in the Philippine Revolution. In 1898 it briefly served as the seat of Emilio Aguinaldo's revolutionary government. It became a city in 2012 and is now one of the most populous places in Cavite. A Bacoor map poster captures its layered geography, from the bay to the highways to the upland estates.
Fishpond embankments, tidal creeks and the straight coastal expressway give the bayfront a dense, almost woven texture. It stands out against the open water of Manila Bay.
The main north–south road cuts through the city in a long, nearly straight line. Side streets branch off on both sides like the teeth of a comb.
In the southern uplands, planned estates form loops, crescents and dead-end streets. These curving lines look nothing like the older grid near the coast.
