Nandigāma is a town in NTR district of Andhra Pradesh, in the farming country west of Vijayawada. Its most defining feature on a map is the national highway between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The highway runs past the town and gives the layout a clear spine, with local roads and lanes branching off it into the surrounding fields.
Away from the highway the pattern becomes finer and less regular, with dense residential lanes around the older part of town. Beyond that the land opens into cultivated plots, irrigation channels and village roads, the typical rural texture of the Krishna river basin.
