Te mapa
Náousa lies in the Imathia regional unit of Central Macedonia, on the eastern foothills of Mount Vermio. From above, the town sits at the point where the mountain meets the plain: streets on the west climb toward the slopes, while on the east the land opens out into orchards and fields. The map gives a clear sense of that transition from height to lowland.
The Arapitsa river runs through the town in a small gorge, and its water once powered the textile mills that made Náousa an industrial centre. The river's course breaks up the street pattern, with bridges and park areas along its banks. The older quarters have narrow, irregular streets, while newer districts spread in more regular blocks.
Náousa is known for its red wines made from the Xinomavro grape and for its long history, including the ancient site of Mieza nearby, associated with Aristotle's teaching of the young Alexander. A Náousa map poster traces a town shaped by its mountain, its river and the fertile plain below it.
The river flows through the town in a narrow wooded gorge, dividing the street network and creating a green line where mills once stood.
To the west, streets bend and thin out as the ground rises toward the mountain, giving the map a gradual edge along its slopes.
East of the town, the land opens into the Imathia plain, where fields and orchards form a lighter, more open pattern around the built area.
