Te mapa
Nasugbu lies on the western coast of Batangas, facing the open waters of the West Philippine Sea. The town centre sits close to the shore along a broad bay, and its streets form a fairly regular pattern that fades out quickly into farmland, sugarcane fields and the hills that rise inland.
The municipality is large and varied. Beaches and resorts line much of the coast, Fortune Island lies offshore, and the mountains behind the town, including the peak known as Pico de Loro, draw hikers from Manila. Sugar has long been central to the local economy, and the town grew around its mill.
A Nasugbu map poster carries history as well as geography. In January 1945 American forces landed on its beaches during the campaign to retake Luzon. On the map the long curve of the bay, the town centre and the rising ground inland make a clear, balanced composition.
The long, gently curving shoreline forms the western edge of the map, with the town centre set close to the water.
Beyond the fields the ground rises into wooded hills and peaks, their slopes pushing roads into winding paths east of town.
Beaches and resorts spread along the coast north and south of the centre, a line of development that follows the shoreline.

Koteā ko Nasugbu
For weekend visitors from Manila, Nasugbu is the first stretch of open sea and beach. For locals it is home. A map of the town suits both, marking a favourite beach, a family house or a wedding by the sea.
