Te mapa
Navarro sits on the flat pampas southwest of Buenos Aires, where the land stretches evenly to the horizon. The town follows the classic Argentine plan: a checkerboard of square blocks around a central plaza, with diagonal and ring roads added as it grew. From above, the grid is crisp and immediately readable.
Next to the town lies the Laguna de Navarro, a wide, shallow lake popular for fishing and weekend outings. Its smooth, rounded shoreline contrasts sharply with the right angles of the streets. A Navarro map poster pairs these two shapes, the ordered town and the open water, in one balanced frame.
Navarro began in the eighteenth century as a frontier fort. In 1828 it was the site of the execution of Governor Manuel Dorrego, an episode every Argentine history student learns. Today it is a quiet rural town surrounded by fields and estancias.
The lagoon at the edge of town forms a large, clean shape on the map. Its curved shore stands out against the straight lines of streets and fields.
Square blocks spread evenly from the main plaza in the typical pattern of Buenos Aires province towns, giving the poster a strong geometric base.
Straight rural roads and property lines run across the plain outside town, extending the grid on a larger and emptier scale.
