Te mapa
Nazarovo lies in the west of Krasnoyarsk Krai, on the Chulym River, in the southern part of Siberia. The town spreads along the riverbank in a mix of low private housing and Soviet-era apartment blocks arranged in regular groups. Streets follow the river in long lines, crossed by shorter roads that lead up from the water, and the whole plan sits within a wide, gently rolling landscape.
The town's modern identity comes from the Kansk-Achinsk coal basin, one of the largest lignite deposits in Russia. An open-pit mine works the seam nearby, and the Nazarovo power station, which burns that coal, stands on the edge of town. On the map, the mine and the power plant appear as large, geometric shapes and cleared ground that contrast sharply with the residential grid.
Nazarovo grew from an older village into a town in the Soviet period, as the coal and energy industries developed around it. A Nazarovo map poster shows that combination: a river town with a working industrial landscape beside it, all set against the open fields and woods of the Chulym valley. It suits anyone with family ties here or an interest in Siberian industrial towns.
The river runs along the town in wide curves, bordered by floodplain meadows and wooded banks, and gives the poster its most natural, flowing line.
The coal pit near the town forms a large, clearly bounded area of terraces and haul roads, an unusual and striking shape on a map.
Soviet-era residential districts group buildings around shared courtyards in regular patterns, contrasting with the looser streets of private houses elsewhere in town.
