Te mapa
Neijiang lies in the hilly country of central Sichuan, on the Tuo River. The river gives the city its shape. From above, the Tuo winds through in tight loops, doubling back on itself, and the districts fill the land inside and between the bends. Bridges cross the water at several points and connect the neighbourhoods that the river separates.
Away from the water, the streets follow the ground and curve around the low hills instead of forming a grid. Newer districts have wider roads and larger blocks, but they are still shaped by the terrain. On a Neijiang map poster, the looping river is the main element. The streets bend with it and form a pattern that feels natural rather than designed.
Neijiang has long been known as the Sweet City because of its history of growing sugar cane and making sugar. It is also the birthplace of Zhang Daqian, one of the best-known Chinese painters of the twentieth century. A memorial hall in the city honours him. The river and hills that appear on the map are part of the same landscape he knew.
The river winds through the city in tight, repeating bends. These curves are the most striking shapes on the poster, and the districts sit in between them.
Several bridges span the Tuo and link the neighbourhoods on either bank. They appear as short, firm lines across the flowing water.
Roads curve around low slopes instead of running straight. This gives the city a soft, irregular texture unlike the grids of the plains.

Koteā ko Neijiang
A Neijiang map suits anyone from the Sweet City or anyone drawn to places shaped by a river. The looping Tuo gives the poster a natural, flowing movement that works well in a living room or study.
