Te mapa
Yibin, in southern Sichuan, is known as the first city on the Yangtze. It stands at the confluence of the Min River, coming down from the north, and the Jinsha River, flowing in from the west, and the river that leaves the city eastward is the Yangtze itself. From above, the old town occupies the narrow tongue of land between the two streams.
This setting has shaped the city for more than two thousand years, making it a hub of river trade in the upper Yangtze basin. Today Yibin is best known in China for Wuliangye, a baijiu distilled from five grains, whose distillery is one of the largest employers in the region. New districts now extend across both banks and up into the hills.
A Yibin map poster centres on this rare meeting of waters. The confluence gives the print a strong, almost diagrammatic shape, with three rivers radiating from a single point and bridges spanning each of them. Around this core, streets follow the riverbanks and climb the slopes in a pattern that feels natural and well balanced.
At the tip of the old town, the Min and Jinsha rivers merge into the Yangtze, forming the focal point of the map and the city's identity.
The historic centre fills the wedge of land between the two rivers, with a tight grid of streets that stops at the water on both sides.
Several bridges cross the three rivers, drawing fine lines that tie the older peninsula to the newer districts spread across both banks.

Koteā ko Yibin
For people from Sichuan, Yibin stands for rivers, food and a slower pace of life. A map built around the start of the Yangtze is also meaningful to anyone who has travelled the river or feels a connection to its long journey east.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Order a matte printed poster with an optional frame, or download the HD files for $9.
