Te mapa
Hejiang is a county seat in Luzhou, in the south of Sichuan province, and its name means joining rivers. The map shows exactly why. The town sits where the Chishui River flows into the Yangtze, and its older streets occupy the ground between the two. The confluence gives the town a distinctive, almost triangular shape, with bridges carrying roads across both waters.
The county is well known in China for its lychees, grown on the warm, sheltered river slopes and harvested in early summer. Within the county lies Fubao, an old town of traditional timber buildings and stone streets climbing a hillside, which draws visitors interested in historic Sichuan architecture.
A Hejiang map poster centres on the confluence itself. Two broad rivers meet, the old town fills the point of land between them, and newer districts spread along both banks. Inked in black and white, the joining of the waters makes a strong, instantly recognisable composition.
The Chishui River joins the Yangtze right at the town. On the poster the two broad rivers meet in a clear Y-shape, with the old town set in the angle.
Road bridges span the Yangtze and the Chishui, linking the old centre with districts on the opposite banks. They appear as crisp lines crossing open water.
Hilly ground rises from the riverbanks, where lychee orchards and farmland take over. Roads wind up these slopes, softening the edges of the map.

A town named for its rivers makes a natural subject for a map. For people from Hejiang, or anyone who has travelled the upper Yangtze, the meeting of the waters is a strong and personal image.
