Hill-following streets
Where the ground rises, streets curve and change direction to trace the contours of the hills. This gives parts of the map an organic, layered look.

Te mapa
Shenglilu, whose name means Victory Road, is an urban area in the west of Chongqing Municipality, in the hilly country of the eastern Sichuan Basin. The terrain folds into low ridges and small valleys, and the map reflects it. Streets bend to follow the slopes, newer avenues cut straighter paths across flatter ground, and water appears as small rivers and ponds.
Like many places in the Chongqing region, it has grown quickly in recent decades. Older, closely built streets are now surrounded by wide roads and large residential compounds. Beyond the built-up area, terraced fields and wooded hills fill the landscape, so the map shows a clear contrast between city and countryside.
A Shenglilu map poster captures a distinctly Chinese urban form. Dense blocks sit beside gated estates drawn as large rectangles, and the roads work around the hills instead of ignoring them. It is a precise, graphic image, suited to someone from the area or a family with roots in western Chongqing.
Where the ground rises, streets curve and change direction to trace the contours of the hills. This gives parts of the map an organic, layered look.
Newer districts are laid out with wide avenues and large residential compounds. They appear as broad, regular shapes beside the tighter pattern of older streets.
Small rivers, ponds and farmland surround the urban area. They turn the edges of the map into a finely broken texture of water and field.

Koteā ko Shenglilu
For people who grew up in western Chongqing and now live in other cities or overseas, a map of Shenglilu is a quiet reminder of home, with its family meals and walks to school drawn in simple lines.
You can add your own title, subtitle and date, or keep the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles. Noir works well with dense street patterns. HD files cover six print sizes, and printed posters come on matte paper with an optional frame.
