Te mapa
Nienburg, often written Nienburg/Weser, is a district town in Lower Saxony on the middle course of the Weser. It grew up at a river crossing and for a long time was a residence of the counts of Hoya. The old town still clusters close to the water, with the river running broadly past the centre.
The historic core is compact and irregular, with half-timbered houses and lanes that follow the town's older lines. Later districts spread outward around it in more regular blocks, and the Weser meadows keep a wide green margin between the town and its river. Bridges carry the roads across the water.
The Nienburg area is known for asparagus, and the spring harvest is a fixture of local life. A Nienburg map poster focuses on the town's structure: the course of the Weser, the dense old centre, and the roads fanning out across the flat North German plain toward Hanover and Bremen, with meadows and farmland in between.
The Weser runs broad and slow past the town. The bridges linking its banks create the strongest horizontal lines in the composition.
Half-timbered buildings and irregular lanes form a small, dense old town close to the river. It is easy to pick out against the later districts around it.
Open floodplain meadows along the Weser leave generous empty space on the map. They frame the town and give the print a calm balance.

Koteā ko Nienburg
People often leave Nienburg to study or work in Hanover, Bremen or further away, then think about it more often than they expected. A map of the old town and the river keeps that connection simple and visible.
