Te mapa
Nigrán lies in the southwest corner of Galicia, between Vigo and Baiona, facing the mouth of the Ría de Vigo. On a map it has no single centre. Several parishes are scattered over wooded slopes, linked by winding roads, and all of them run down towards a long shoreline of sand and rocky headlands looking west to the Atlantic.
The coast gives the plan its character. Playa América curves along the bay in a long arc, and at Panxón a compact fishing quarter crowds around a small harbour below Monte Lourido. Panxón is also home to the Templo Votivo do Mar, a seaside church designed by the Galician architect Antonio Palacios.
A Nigrán map poster shows a place balanced between land and water. Inland, fine roads branch through farmland and woods in an irregular web. Along the coast, the streets thicken into a dense strip of houses and promenades. Beyond them lies the open water of the bay, left as a clean, quiet field of paper.
A long, smooth curve of beach traces the edge of the bay. It is one of the most recognisable lines in the drawing, with a band of streets and apartment blocks running behind it.
At the southern end of the bay, a small harbour and a tight cluster of streets sit beneath a rounded headland that pushes out into the water.
Inland there is no central grid. The parishes form a loose network of lanes and small settlements across the slopes, typical of rural Galician land use.

Koteā ko Nigrán
Nigrán is a place of summer houses, family beaches and long walks along the bay, which is why many people keep a map of it long after the holidays end. The coastline alone makes a striking shape on a wall.
Change the title and subtitle to mark a beach, a wedding or a summer, and adjust the coordinates line. It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or the warm, coastal Sand.
