Inland lagoons
Freshwater lagoons, including Lagoa do Bonfim, dot the land behind the coast. On paper they appear as calm, rounded shapes between the roads.

Te mapa
Nísia Floresta lies on the coast of Rio Grande do Norte, south of Natal. From above, it is more a patchwork than a single compact town. A modest centre sits inland, and smaller settlements run along the Atlantic beaches, with freshwater lagoons and dunes in between. Water is everywhere on the map, in the ocean and in the inland lakes.
The municipality is named after Nísia Floresta Brasileira Augusta, the nineteenth-century writer and educator born here. She is remembered as one of Brazil's earliest advocates for women's education. The lagoons of the area, among them the large Lagoa do Bonfim, are well known locally and draw visitors from Natal.
A Nísia Floresta map poster turns that mix of lagoons, coast and scattered streets into an airy composition. The ocean edge runs along one side, the lagoons appear as smooth shapes inland, and the roads link small clusters of houses. The result is a map about landscape as much as settlement.
Freshwater lagoons, including Lagoa do Bonfim, dot the land behind the coast. On paper they appear as calm, rounded shapes between the roads.
Beaches line the ocean side of the municipality, with small coastal settlements strung along them. It gives the poster a long, clean edge.
The town carries the name of Nísia Floresta, a pioneering nineteenth-century writer and educator born here. The title of the poster doubles as a tribute.

This map suits people from Rio Grande do Norte, holidaymakers who return to the lagoons and anyone who admires the writer the town is named after. Its open composition of water and land looks light and balanced on a wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a beach, a year or a name. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a digital download or a printed poster with an optional frame.
