Te mapa
Noord covers the northwestern part of Aruba, reaching from the calm, sandy west coast inland across low, dry country to the rougher north shore. It is one of the island's most populous districts, and its map combines two very different characters: a long, ordered strip of resorts along the beach and a loose scatter of homes and country roads behind it.
Palm Beach, with its high-rise hotels, is the best-known stretch of the coastline. Farther north the land narrows toward the California Lighthouse, named after a ship that was wrecked nearby. Inland stands the small chapel of Alto Vista, on the site linked to the island's first Catholic chapel. Between them, roads curve around low hills and open, cactus-dotted land.
A Noord map poster shows the coast as a crisp outline and the inland districts as a network of winding streets. It makes a considered gift for people who live on Aruba. For visitors who spent a week on the northwest shore and want to remember exactly where, it is a more personal souvenir than most.
Along the west coast, the hotel zone forms a dense, straight band between the main road and the sand. It is the most regular pattern in the district.
At the island's northwest tip, the lighthouse overlooks dunes and open ground. Here the road network thins out and the coastline becomes the main feature of the map.
Behind the coast, homes spread in an irregular web of lanes and cul-de-sacs, shaped by low hills and the island's dry, open terrain.

Koteā ko Noord
Noord means different things to different people: a hometown, a honeymoon, a favourite stretch of sand. A minimal map strips the place down to coastline and streets, which lets each owner fill it in with their own memories.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps the dates of a trip or the name of a street, and keep the coordinates line. Sand and Paper suit the island's light, though all five styles are available, as $9 digital files or a printed poster from one of our print partners.
