Te mapa
Punta Cardón stands on the southwestern shore of the Paraguaná Peninsula in Falcón state, on flat, dry land that meets the sea along a low coastline. On a map, two very different patterns sit side by side: the residential grid of the town and the large industrial footprint of the Cardón refinery, with its rows of storage tanks and jetties running out into the water.
The town merges with neighbouring Punto Fijo to form one continuous urban area. Streets are laid out in regular blocks on the level ground, with few natural features to interrupt them. The coastline is the main natural line, a smooth edge against the open water of the gulf.
The Cardón refinery is part of the Paraguaná Refining Center, long counted among the largest refining complexes in the world, and it shaped the town's growth. A Punta Cardón map poster shows this unusual mix of industrial geometry and everyday streets, framed by the semi-arid peninsula and the sea.
Circular storage tanks arranged in orderly rows create one of the most distinctive patterns on the map, almost abstract when drawn in black and white.
The coast forms a long, smooth edge with piers and jetties extending into the water, giving the composition a strong horizontal boundary.
Residential blocks continue without a break into the neighbouring city, so the map shows one connected grid stretching across the peninsula's flat southwest.

Koteā ko Punta Cardón
Families who worked at the refinery, or grew up in its shadow, often keep strong ties to Punta Cardón. A map poster records the streets and coastline they know, in a form that looks deliberate and graphic rather than nostalgic.
