Los Rastrojos is part of the wider Barquisimeto metropolitan area in Lara state, in the Palavecino municipality near Cabudare. Its streets run across fairly flat ground in a mix of short grids and cul-de-sacs, with main roads connecting the town with the rest of the conurbation.
