Te mapa
Örebro grew up where the Svartån river flows east towards Lake Hjälmaren. From above, the river runs through the city centre, lined with walkways and crossed by bridges. The main shopping streets are laid out in a fairly regular grid on either side of the water.
At the heart of the city, Örebro Castle stands beside the Svartån, surrounded by water on several sides. Along the river to the east lies Wadköping, an open-air museum of old wooden buildings. To the north, the mushroom-shaped Svampen water tower rises above residential districts.
An Örebro map poster traces the Svartån from the western suburbs through the centre towards the flat land and wetlands near the lake. In black and white, the river, the parks along its banks and the compact centre form a balanced composition. Wider residential areas spread out around them.
The river flows west to east through the city, with park paths and bridges along its course. It gives the map its main line and a natural centre.
Örebro Castle sits on the water in the middle of the city. On the poster, the small island setting makes a clear point where the river and streets meet.
East of the centre, the city opens towards the flat shores and wetlands of Lake Hjälmaren, giving the map a quieter, open edge.

Koteā ko Örebro
Örebro is a city of students, families and people who return for summers on the river. A map of the Svartån and the streets around the castle is a restrained, lasting reminder of that place.
Add a personal title and subtitle, such as a year or a neighbourhood, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
